Introduction

This summer, we had the pleasure of welcoming a new cohort of students and recent graduates to MeVitae through the SEPnet and Santander internship programmes. From Marketing to Technology, each intern brought fresh perspectives, creativity, and drive, making a real impact across the business. Over the years, our internship programme has been a launchpad for many talented individuals, and this year’s group continued that tradition with excellence. We asked them to share their reflections and experiences.

Chaitanya

Role: Graphic Design Intern

Degree: MSc Digital Media Production

“My internship at MeVitae was a fantastic experience. It was a great learning opportunity and a chance to work with such a talented team. Coming from a video production background, I gained invaluable experience in graphic design, including creative workflows, design language, brand identity, and new software. I am especially grateful to my mentors, Aditi and Ainoa, for guiding me throughout the process, pushing me creatively, and to MeVitae for offering such an excellent summer internship opportunity.”

Steve

Role: Digital Marketing and Strategy Intern

Degree: MPhys Astrophysics (just completed 3rd year)

“During my SEPnet summer internship at MeVitae, I worked on the One Question Series, an eight-part video campaign exploring leadership, AI, and the future of work. I contributed to scripting, editing, and producing videos with AI voiceovers and captions, developed marketing assets such as teaser trailers and guest support packs, and helped plan the release schedule with KPIs to track engagement. This experience strengthened my digital marketing and project coordination skills, taught me how to manage feedback from multiple stakeholders, and gave me confidence in translating creative ideas into professional campaigns.”

Hannah

Role: Digital Marketing Intern

Degree: BA Mathematics and Music (just completed 2nd year)

“This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with MeVitae’s marketing team, where I worked on an exciting new project called Rhythm HR. My responsibilities ranged from designing wireframes to developing the marketing strategy, including competitor analysis and a pre-launch campaign. Looking back, this internship has been an amazing chance to learn about product development, marketing strategy, and the future of HR tech. I’ve gained invaluable skills in research, planning, and communication, and I’ve loved being part of such an innovative and welcoming team.”

Role: Content Creator Intern

Degree: MSc International Business Management

“This summer, I joined MeVitae as a Content & Marketing Associate through the Santander Universities internship programme while completing my MSc in International Business Management at Oxford Brookes. My role focused on content creation and refining communication in a tech-driven, hiring-focused environment. Early projects included reviewing blogs and infographics through the lens of clarity, neutrality, and accessibility. A highlight was drafting content for an infographic on MeVitae’s analytics product, simplifying complex distinctions between factual data from ATS, HCM, CRM systems and actionable insights such as diversity metrics and pay gap analysis. This experience gave me insights into startup culture, values-led innovation, and the behind-the-scenes process of scaling inclusive communication.”

Ana

Role: Data Analyst Intern

Degree: BSc Physics with Data Science, Queen Mary University of London (recent graduate)

“As a Data Analyst Intern at MeVitae, I was responsible for managing data and building reports, working closely with the Operations Manager. I also had the opportunity to engage with stakeholders across the company to translate business needs into analytical solutions. This internship strengthened both my technical and soft skills. I gained hands-on experience with tools such as Power BI and Excel, while developing a deeper understanding of data management. One of the most enjoyable parts of my role was collaborating with department heads to tailor reporting to their unique needs. Thank you for this experience—I’m excited to continue my professional journey with MeVitae as a part-time Data Analyst, contributing to meaningful work in the DE&I space.”

Zain

Role: Integrations Engineer Intern

Degree: BSc Physics with Data Science (just completed 2nd year)

“My time at MeVitae was a truly valuable experience where I worked on integrations and automation projects, helping to connect systems and streamline workflows. I enjoyed learning how AI is applied in recruitment tech and seeing how even small contributions can make a noticeable impact in a fast-moving startup environment. There were definitely challenges, such as adapting to new tools and debugging tricky integrations, but these pushed me to learn faster and become more confident in problem-solving. Overall, I came away with stronger technical skills, a clearer understanding of AI’s real-world applications, and a deeper appreciation for collaborative teamwork.”
